A need for Discipline
So while I've been practicing painting my chaos marines, I've been secretly working on a clone army. The Tyranid FAQ was the final push to make me start a new army, and I've been working a lot and making a decent amount of money. "And as my first act with this new authority, I will create a grand army of the Republic to counter the increasing threats"
So I have over the course of a month bought some marine vehicles. I have a tournament on the 25th and another one a few weeks after that. So roughly 13 days to get my new found marines into a well oiled killing machine.
I'm going to take advantage of starting a new army and use this to further my blog. I plan on now posting a new post every other day. That is not counting my posts on TheBack40k. So My plan is for Monday, Wednesday, Friday updates here at Predators and Prey, and one or two on the back40k. This will help me get the posts I haven't been posting enough of, and help keep me working on my army.
As of right now the plan is to use them as Blood Angels. Rules only, I have my own fluff. But I have them generic enough that I could use them as vanilla marines if it comes to it, or even Chaos with a little work. So here is to projects well worked, money hard earned, and Battle brothers formed by the trials of war!
Keep up the hunt!

Cool, look forward to seeing them develop. Are you going to use the standard marine look, or are you going to convert them to look more "cloney"?
ReplyDeleteThe clone bit was more cause I too am now going to be a marine player, and for the starwars quote. I do have a theme, Star Dragon successor chapter that went rogue.
ReplyDeleteas much as I hate to say it....
ReplyDeleteVanilla marines are almost always in season, and always a reliable choice.
I'm personally waiting for the GK codex. then I'll start painting up my old GK's
